Today was an exceptional day as we welcomed Joe and his family of enthusiastic men for a thrilling gorge walking adventure. Their prompt arrival set the tone for a fantastic outing, with everyone in good shape and full of energy.

As the morning sun crept over the hills, we gathered for a quick chat to go over the plan and safety protocols. Excitement buzzed in the air as we suited up in our gear—wetsuits, helmets, and buoyancy aids—all essential for the adventure that lay ahead.

We set off up the gorge, first focusing on some basic movement skills to ensure everyone was comfortable with the terrain. The conditions were ideal, with fresh mountain water invigorating our senses. Among Joe's group were some seasoned hillwalkers, which allowed us to dive into more advanced techniques.

We did some rope work using an improvised harness and a proper old school sitting belay to navigate one of the waterfalls. It was a great opportunity to reinforce teamwork and trust, with everyone rising to the challenge admirably.
